Sometimes I wonder how we do it! My son went to school to become a vet, and he'd come home with one to look after it after treating it. they never seemed to leave once they got here. We also have a long haired dauchsund. All get along pretty well. Our baby a lilac point tonk is the maniac of the group and drives us and the other cats crazy, but couldn't see ourselves without her!

LOL...my guy & I we found 2 out of our 3 cats as strays, they found their way to our back porch.
Hey Pinta, your 1 cat in your avatar, it looks like our latest addition to our family, Lady. Have a look in my avatar & you will probably see what I mean. How cool would that be if we had the same type of cat?

They sure do look alike a brown tabby right? We affectionately call Shadow our gentle giant as he is 22lbs and is just a very sweet gentle guy! don't know how he got to be 22lbs, we never see him eat anything. Won't touch treats of any kind, never touches canned food and if I make fish he's the only one that doesn't come running. It just must be his general makeup. He's like a log at the foot of our bed at night, you can't budge him. We jockey for position all night with everyone!:whoo:

You know Lady could be a brown tabby. As we found her as a stray, we're not totally sure. I'm thinking she might have some Egyptian Mau in her as she has the eyeliner eyes & lips which is a tradmark of those breed of cats. She's not fully blooded if she is because she has 4 white socks on her paws & her belly & chest is white, so she has something else in her make up.
LMAO...oh my, your Shadow is like our Lucy. She loves to sleep in between us & she does not budge at night either. LOL...she's even gotten mad at my guy & smacked on him a couple times when he turned over in bed & she didn't like it. :catlol:
I couldn't imagine having all 3 of our darlings sleeping on the bed with us. :scared1:You guys must have it down pat with 6 on the bed, do you guys get any sleep?
I live in Berwyn, IL, it's pretty close to Chicago.

If I'm not mistaken, a vet that we absolutely loved left our area and i think she is now in Berwyn. She wanted a practice dealing with felines only. She raises Abssynians, but its been a while and her name escapes me. I'll have to ask my husband if he remembers her name. I had recent surgery so my husband has been kicking the cats out of our room at night so they don't step all over me. Generally there are usually 4 on the bed most of the night, another may come up for a few minutes and then leave. sometimes we have the dog as well if my son is not home. Its crazy, but I am getting used to having the bed without them lately. As for Shadow, he likes to drag things around the house. He will take any clothing left lying on the floor, blankets, whatever and drag it into our diningroom. We don't know why he does this, but we come home everyday to find our diningroom filled with all sorts of things.

Hmmm, I'm not aware of a female vet in the Berwyn area, but then again there are a few vets in the area so she just may have a practice set up. :)
LOL...maybe it's Shadow's way of helping you guys clean up. He sees something on the floor & let's you guys know to pick it up. :D
Aren't cat's quirky, my 3 are so different, yet they are the same, I love them all! :)
Hello and welcome to the group. I'm Suzy I have a 3yr old tabby named Lucy. What are your cats names?:)

Hi Suzy nice to know you:shakehands: I have two Tonkinese; a Champagne Mink named Cody, a Lilac Point named Sasha; a Snowshoe named Gizmo; an Orange Tabby named Casey; the Brown Tabby named Shadow and a gray DSH names Ashley. We also have a Long Haired Dauchsund named Ozzie. Quite a house full which keep us hopping, thats for sure!
Your shadow looks like my Lucy. She weights 13lbs. I've had her a little more than 2 months now. She is a big boned cat. Right now she is the only one. I want to get her a playmate but on June 23 I am having a major neck surgery so I will wait until I recoupe then I will go and get Lucy her playmate. I don't want to do it and then be laid up. I want to make sure that I can give both kitty's the attention they will need to adjust to each other.
