Hey I just go my cat today and would like to learn how to look after it properly.

Well are you keeping your cat inside only? There are alot of things if you let them out that can harm them. I feel to keep them safe keep her in side. Have a vet check done. Make sure the kitty gets the shots that are needed. Feed them good food. Give her time to adjust to her new home. If you have inside plants do a little research to make sure the plants are not poisionous. Look around and see if there are any spaces in your home that the kitty could get stuck in. They love investegating things. If there are spots in your home where you do not want the kitty (like countertops) use a spray bottle. After getting sprayed a few times they will catch on. Also if you have a recliner in the house don't let the kitty go under it. they can get hurt very badly under there when you recline. Us a spray bottle to stop this also. These are just some tips that I have learned over the years.

Suzy pretty much summed it up. Get different kind of toys for the cat to play with & keep him/her entertained.

A good sized litter box is always a must, so that cat has enough room to move in it properly & be comfortable using it.

Keep indoor only, don't de claw, feed something like Innova EVO, Wellness grain free,Natures logic,Instincts. Alter or Sapy/neuter, as soon as possible!

Other then that keeping cats is a breeze!
