Anyone have a cat who chews things up? My cat,Prana, chews up anything made of sisal, wicker or wood. She actually chewed a large hole in my hardwood floor, in an area where there was a little termite damage (I'm in Florida..) She will chew newspapers and cardboard, the venetian blinds, you name it. She also picks at the fabric of anything she can pull apart, like towels or rugs or anything made of tiny loops that she can get her teeth into. What's up with that?

Has she been doing it for a long time?
Maybe she likes the roughage of eating the wicker?? :dunno:
My male cat EJ likes to chew on plastic, he hears a plastic bag, he comes running & chews on it. My female Lady will chew on boxes. We left the soda can boxes out 1 time & she chewed a hole right in 1 of the corners.
I haven't been able to stop either 1 of them from doing it. All I do now is keep plastic bags away from EJ & the boxes away from Lady.

My cat ino loved plastic bags just to lay on. She doesn't chew them but it still scares the heck out of me.

My male cat Lucky loves when I go grocery shopping! When I come home with the plastic bag I always throw one on the floor for him...he usually rolls around on it or just lays on it but whenever the mood strikes him he will also start biting and ripping it with his teeth until I tell him "no..be nice" and then he stops...
