The past 2 nights, my male cat has been kneading the blanket & coming at me (as if 2 bite) when I try to pet him. He's never done this before. Is he in heat?

If your male cat is in heat, he will spray everywhere. If you see him up against something like say your couch arm with his butt up close to it, he will probably spray the arm of the couch.
Best thing to do if he has reached his maturity age where he will be starting to spray is take him to a clinic or vet & get him neutered.
There is nothing worse than a male cat spraying up the house, the smell is next to impossible to get out of your clothes, furniture etc..
Plus it will help him to calm down & behave a bit better.

Generally, they'll be affectionate. Really affectionate. . . to the point where you'll try to pull them off of you (While they're purring) and just won't let go. And if you DO happen to get them off of you, they'll hop right back up.
It certainly doesn't help if you have long fur allergies. They'll just keep rubbing up against you. ^^;;;

No. He's never done that. He's not very affectionate, He only lets me hold him a few minutes & he never sits in my lap. I want 2 get him fixed, but I need 2 find a low cost clinic close by.

Have you done a Google search of low cost clinics in your area yet Gina?

Yep, but most of them r 2 far away 2 get to. I don't have a car so it's kind of hard 2 get there.

Yeah I understand hun. :)
Maybe you can ask a friend or family member to borrow a car or have them drive you??
I know that having an unneutered cat can be very frustrating with him spraying all the time.
