A very common behaviour with cats is taking food out of its bowl and eating it off the floor. There are many theories as to why cats do this, one of the theories is cats find the pieces of food too large and put them outside of the bowl so that it will be easier to chew them into smaller pieces.

My cat takes the food out of her bowl and brings it in the living room and eats it there. I thought maybe it was because her litter box was in the same room where she ate. Well I moved her litter box and she still brings her food into the living room. It is actually pretty funny to watch.

Daisy I wonder are you in the living room when you cat does this? Some animals are so attached to their owner that they feel some kind of odd bond and want to eat near them.

While my cat is fine with eating from his bowl, our other cat does that, but only with real meat. If I give him a piece of ham, or chicken he snatches it out of my hand and runs. I once got accidentally too close to him while he was eating a small piece of meat and that's something I'll never do again. lol:D

one of my cats will sit at the bowl, take the food out and eat his food but he growls the whole time he is eating, like someone is trying to take it away from him, he does this all the time even when no other cats are near the dish.
