Whether he is carrying his favorite teddy bear in his mouth or trying show off the clever pattern he’s discovered in the litter box, the Performance Pussycat is endlessly full of amusing surprises. He’s a very gentle creature, something you well know, and will easily warm up to strangers. Once they have his confidence, he’ll want to show them all the silly things he leads you through.

The Performance Pussycat has no particular preference when it comes to food, as long as it comes in sufficient doses. He tends to burn through the calories quickly with all that he does—he might be described as curious, especially when you see him clamber into a forgotten baseball cap and roll around in it—but you soon will come to realize that he’s just playful. Usually, he’s playful in the most unorthodox ways (hence the cuddling with the teddy at night).

He enjoys to be petted, and you know you’re doing well when you get him to purr, but he doesn’t like to sit still for too long. He’s got a few cozy spots in the home that he’s staked out as his, and his favorite pastime is to go between them and get distracted by dust bunnies and other equally disinteresting items (to you—to him, they’ll occupy his limited attention for whole minutes at a time!).

The Performance Pussycat performs equally well in or out of doors, but once he’s established a pattern, you’ll never be able to picture him any other way. Except for the days when he decides to do differently. Then, what can you do? Just play along and try to stay, if not ahead, at least not too far behind in the game. Your cat is a fun cat, and he’ll keep the fun coming.


Cat Matching:
Rough types, especially Rough Precocious types, will bamboozle the Performance Pussycat. He will never understand why they dislike him so much. It’s best to stick to Tender cats for this pet, and if you’re lucky enough to find another ITDE or even an ITPE, you’ll have the best pair of cats around.

Involved Tender Precocious Energizer

She finds your keys, opens her own cat food, plays with every toy she owns at least once a day and always has time to sit in your lap or between your feet or on your head. The Clever Kitty is brilliance and adorability rolled into one ball of fur. The packaged deal. And speaking of packaged deal—she doesn’t mind the cat food you purchase in bulk, but she’d like you to liven it up with something else now and again! That’s all. That’s her only complaint.
