Cat with a heart of gold

One of our outdoor cats had been outdoors for a very, very long time. However, even after years of being outdoord in a place that wasn't very good for cats, I hate to say, she never once scratched or bit anyone in the family. Not once. Our little girl would swing the cat around by it's back legs, and the cat might hiss a little, but it never bit or scratched her. I loved that about the cat, but I still think it's a bit odd. Any other cat I've ever had might have savaged my daughter for that, but not Tabby. That truely was a cat with a heart made of gold, and a temperment of an angel.

It's because she is an outdoor cat doesn't necessarily mean she's mean and hasty. Our cats are all outdoor cats and they are involved in fights but when they are at home they are very gentle and kind. It's the place where they can rest and recover and lick their wounds.
