Mine does! Everytime I am singing or whistling my cat has to come get right in my face and starts purring and rubbing all over me. When I play the guitar, he has to be sitting right beside me. I'm pretty sure his favorite band is Blues Traveler because every time I put my Blues Traveler DVD in and John Popper starts playing the harmonica, he gets as close as he can to the TV and stares up at it! He is so funny! :D

Hee hee that is cute Casey.
I don't think either of my cats like music. I play it alot, but they never seem interested.

I had a cat that liked Stevie Ray Vaughn. Brownie likes all of music she will curl up right next to the speakers.

Do you guys think its possible to teach my little kitten to stand up on two legs when I put a certain song on?

Music scares my cat, actually. She always hides under the bed and/or puffs up her tail when I listen to music.
When I sing, it's even worse, she starts meowing and sometimes she claws me.

Oh no Firefox, so she doesn't like when you sing? :(
xavierlucatoni, you could try training your kitten to do that, but it may take awhile, you have to be patient.

Dylan seems to find music offensive, he'll stalk off and turn his back on us.

Nope, it terrifies her. I'm not a good singer anyways. :p
You know, now I don't think she's scared of music, I think she just doesn't like the music I listen to. Usually when I listen to music she runs under the bed, but the other day I was listening to this Russian piano piece on the computer and she ran over and started purring and rubbing her face all over the screen. It was really cute. :) I wish I took pictures or something.

You know, it might be the tones of the music that the cats either like or dislike.

I had a cat called Fluffy, a long haired black. I play the organ and when we had her I would be playing and she would climb up my back, and get so whatever it is till it was too much and then she would bite the back of my head. I really think she liked it, and it sent her. She also reacted with the mouth organ. Those were the days.
I have just lost my baby cat as I called her, she was Tabby, Tabitha Jane to be exact, and 12 and half. 2 weeks ago she was ok, but a lot thinner, my son said she was fretting for me, as I have remarried, then she had a huge tumour in her lungs pushing all her organs out and stopping her eating, yet when I was there, she was jumping up and purring and just her normal self. What a tough little thing.
She was always near me music or no music. They are funny in their ways.

My cats have no choice as music is always on at home. I leave the radio on for them if I go out. Domino my eldest likes classical and purrs when I put the classical station on.
I heard the other day that cats tend to like the sort of transcendental meditation music you can get with relaxation tapes. I suppose it calms them down.
