Do any or have any of you had a cat(s) that seems to really like to chew on plastic or eat it a bit?

My EJ has this obsession with plastic & the plastic sound. When we go grocery shopping if I don't put up the bags with the bread or potato chips up he will chew the ends of the bags. I have kitty drool all over the ends of the bags as well as teeth marks. In our linen closet I keep the toilet paper, he knows this so he will go to the closet wanting me to open the door so he can chew on plastic, of course I don't let him in the closet to chew.

I can't seem to break him of that habit, I know it can't be healthy for him to chew plastic as he will eat some of it. What do you all suggest I do to help him to stop?

You know.. My cat has this thing where she'll chew or bite on card board. Like the sides of shoe boxes I have in my closet and under my bed. I've caught her doing it once or twice, but I see the teeth marks on the corners all the time. I finally got rid of all my shoe boxes, but occasionally I'll bring home something that's card board and she'll chew on it and scratch it up as well. I haven't figured out how to stop it yet, but I figure she's alright as long as she doesn't swallow large amounts, ya know?

Yeah that's what I figured with EJ too Pink. Although after awhile he does throw up, I'm never sure if it's because of the plastic or just a regular hair ball cause he's so hairy.

My cat love to play with them..its probably because of the noise they make.

My cat does the exact same thing. She will chew plastic & cardboard. But mine never throws up.
