I'm not sure what I can do about Lucy. :dunno:
She's a big plant eater, we can't seem to get her to stop eating the few house plants that we have at home. She ruined a palm tree type plant by eating most of the leaves she can reach, the tree only has a little "puff" of leaves on the top.
Now she's on to a New Guinea Impatien plant that my fiance brought in from the alley. Someone threw out the plant that they had outside, so he found it & brought it in to save it.
I found some info. on New Guinea Impatiens & they aren't poisonous to cats which I'm happy about, BUT she just LOVES to eat the leaves. I've scolded her, even sprayed her a couple times with water, but she will go back to chew it, not all the time though.
I'm thinking of getting her a patch of cat grass so she can chew on that whenever she wants to.
I'm thinking though that what if I get her the cat grass, but she still eats the other plants? Do you all think she will just eat the grass & leave the rest of the plants alone?

Ithink she is a definetly a plant eater...LOL!!! Cat grass never worked for me. The cats I have had over the years love all of my plants. The only thing I can tell you is just make sure there are no poisonous plants in your house. Cats are going to eat them regardless.

*sigh* that's what I was afraid of, well I will just have to see what I can do with that little stinker Lucy. :nono::D
All of the plants that we have in the house, my fiance found in the alley. People threw them out planters & all, he can't stand to see ANYTHING suffering so he brought them in.
You know the only plant that she won't touch is the Aloe Vera plant, she sniffs it & rubs on the planter, but not anything else.

I don't think she'd like the taste...lol!!
My cat loves flowers! If I bring home some and it has those little Babys Breath flowers in the bunch she will eat them! I don't know what it is, but she does. I figure it's alright seeing as it's small. I don't know what to do. :boggled:

I would guess if your cat hasn't gotten sick from eating the baby's breath that it's ok. Do you scold her when she does it? LOL...I yelled at Lucy before, I've even squirted her with water, but she still goes back
I heard alot of household plants can be poisonous to cats. I may have to do some looking online for a good list of them & post them here for all of us.
I think it's something in the smell that draws cats to eating plants. That & I've heard that they will eat grass/plants when they have upset stomachs. Guess the roughage helps or something, I just don't like picking up the piles here & there when Lucy eats too much of the plant of cat vomit. :puke:
I caught her again early this AM as I was getting ready for work, nosing in the plant & starting to chew. I have to say Lucy is bold about it, I was in the kitchen & she bold as brass jumps up on the windowsill & starts chewing away. :nono:
Yes, I have scolded her before, but it doesn't seem to make a difference, lol. It just frustrates me because I want all my flowers! LOL She does get sick here and there which really sucks, but what can ya do? I have some icky stories about that, but I think I'll save those cause I'm about to have breakfast. :p

My male cat will do that sometimes when he has eaten too much. Matter of a fact he did that over the weekend.
They all upchuck the hairballs which are a big YUCK! :scared1:
