Ok well I'm going to be the first 1 to use the Vent thread.
Why do some people online think they can get away with being mean, nasty, backstabbing people? Why do they never think they will get caught being all of the above plus talking badly about someone?
I have yet again found out that someone I know & have to deal with has talked badly of me. I just don't understand it you all, I don't think I'm a bad person, pushy whatever. I don't understand how I have found these people that like the talk trash & make up things. I know it's cyberland & on some level it doesn't matter, but the other level does make it matter, you know?
I'm plain & simple tired of backstabbers in real life & cyberland. I think sometimes it's a bit worse in cyberland because they are soo confident that they won't get caught...grrr...ok I'm going to give my fur babies a hug & I will feel better. :(
Sorry, Sapphire. *hugs* Like you said, sometimes people put on that mask because they feel safe behind a computer screen, mouse and keyboard. But one thing is for sure.. I guarantee you they'd never say it to your face. It's a shame, really. I know exactly how you feel and it does hurt, cyber-land or not. Especially if you really trusted that person before finding these things out. It's happened to me before and it sucks. :(

Never, under any circumstances, allow ANYTHING that happens on the social internet to affect your real life. The two are separate and distinct from one another (as it should be) and the only REALLY important opinion of yourself is your own.
Seriously.

Very good point orion (welcome back BTW :)) I wasn't mad mad, it was more of a venting of being a little frustrated. Being an admin on 2 forums & also being a member on other forums, you can't help but form a bond with certain people so when you catch them in any lies it does rankle a bit.

I know that your point is valid - we're social animals and some form bonds easily, regardless of the medium involved.
Unless one becomes a true psychopathic hermit, we will sometimes be disappointed in people. Just part of the human experience!
