Ok guys, I admit, my cat is overweight. He's an indoor cat, and he actually is very active. I play with him a lot. I spoke to the vet about his sudden weight gain and the vet told me that it was his food. They had found that several other active indoor cats eating the same food had the same problems. So, I have switched his food to a weight control formula. I switched 2 months ago and have noticed no difference. What am I doing wrong? I measure his food and play with him still. I'm really worried about feline diabetes or other health problems.

Have you come up with a good solution LoveMyKittyDuke?

If you haven't yet, have you talked to your vet about your kitty possibly having a low metabolism? I saw a show a while back on cats & the owners of this 1 big cat did the same things you described & nothing helped until the vet realized the fur baby had a slow metabolism.
