Teeth cleaning

Do any of you get your cats teeth cleaned? My cat has her teeth cleaned twice a year. My vet said that cleaning my cat’s teeth is an important role in making sure your cat will stay healthy. Believe it or not cats also get cavities and various types of oral diseases from not having there teeth cleaned.

Daisy does your vet put he cat to sleep then? as I dont see how you can clean their teeth without doing this?
I agree they need their teeth cleaning when they get 'tartar' but twice a year seems like alot. My 2 cats are 2 &1/2 years old now - They only eat dry food and their teeth are perfect!therefore have not had it done yet ...no doubt the day will come
