Cats normally greet each other by rubbing faces. When a cat greets you by standing on its hind legs,it means that it is trying to reach your face. This is only done to humans that the cat trusts.

I didn't know that until now. I knew they greeted each other that way but I didn't realize that is why they stand up to people. I have one that climbs on me every time I sit down, rubs my face then goes to sleep on my lap.
That is so cool, I don't think that I have seen that before, and I have never seen two cats in the same room together, but I am curious to see this now, thats great to know.

Thank you for posting this :) I didnt know thats why cats do that, I knew they greeted other cats that way, but I guess I never thought of them trying to greet people in the same way they do other cats. Thats interesting :)
