Hello fellow cat lovers! My small zoo consists of 5 guinea pigs and my 2 cats (one of which is purring very loudly in my lap). My cats are Saphire and Sophia and they both have their own stories which is better than mine, so I'll share theirs.

When I was little my sister and I were playing in the backyard when I heard a commotion of barks and pitifuls crys. I ran back to find a little kitten with it's head stuck in the fence. She hissed at me but I had to get her away from the dog, so I hopped the fence and shooed the dog away. She has a bit of her tail gone, which was easily cured at the vets, and a few scrapes, the vet told us she was about 6 weeks old. Next thing, I'm showing my mom and she fell in love. 5 years later and she's still with us.

Sophia was a planned adoption. We went to the local shelter and were searching for a cat when my dad saw Sophia and read the note on her cage which to sum it up said that she had been through many homes and all thought that she wasn't a good cat because of her "evil" meow and annoying pleading for pets and attention. We adopted her and she is currently 7 years old.

I'll tell the story of little Booger, who was never ours but a stray my family and I cared for. He was a black cat and had the same markings as Sophia, but he was smaller and smarter. He still had that lucious attitude for attention and waltzed to complete strangers for pats. We cared for him for almost a year when he wondered onto a busy street and was hit, the car won. I don't have many pics of him, but I'll have to search.

Well that's my crew besides the guinea pigs who are Saphire's other half, but I'll brag about them later, that's a good promise.

Oh, I almost forgot, we might be adopting another calico soon. She is pretty much Saphires clone and she's so cute! I'm trying to get the family into adopting her but it's not a promise. I'll have to post pics after I get some more posts!

I was intentionally looking for a small forum, they tend to be closer, nicer communities. ;-)

I have cat lovers on other forums, I'll tell them to visit here.:)

Yeah I like small forums as well, people can get to know each other much better.

Thank you for recommending a few cat lovers here though. :)
